Holiday Accommodation
Back to Holidaying Abroad
There are many types of holiday with varying types of accommodation when going abroad. Think about some of these before booking:
All Inclusive or Half Board Accommodation Holidays
inclusive or half board holidays can be fantastic, but the food doesn't suite everyone. You can also be tied to eating at the hotel, however, you don't need that extra money for meals and drinks. These holidays are normally in hotel accommodation, so you would normally only have a room with a bathroom.
Self Catering Accommodation Holidays Abroad
Self-catering holidays are normally in apartments of various sizes. The bonus of apartment holidays is that you have a living area as well as bedrooms, so there is more space to spread out. Cooking facilities are normally very basic, so don’t bank on being able to produce a fabulous Sunday roast. Self-catering does afford you the bonus of being able to sample the local restaurants.
Private Villa Holidays Abroad
If you want privacy and all the facilities of home; then consider a villa holiday.
Accommodation Facilities for Holidays Abroad
Only you know whether you want a quiet or fun packed holiday, but these are some of the facilities that you need to consider before booking your choice of accommodation:
Size and number of swimming pools
Bar or Restaurant facilities
Shop or supermarket facilities
Number of floors (are you likely to be on the 12th floor?)
Accessibility
Reception hours
Location in resort
Bureau de change on site
Entertainment
Kids clubs
This is not an exhaustive list, but deciding what is important to you for each of these things will help you find your perfect accommodation.
