74. Don't just throw away items such as toothpaste, body lotion or foundation as you will find that if you cut it open and you will be able to use the bits you couldn't get to.
75. Reuse old ice cream tubs or take away packaging. These can be used for freezing food or taking your packed lunch into work. Many can be used for heating things in the microwave.
76. If you have a pet use your waste paper by shredding it and using it for pet bedding. The waste paper could be from home or work but always check that you are okay to take waste paper from work to use as some papers could be confidential and so can't be taken off the premises even if they have already been shredded.
77. Check who is having a brew before you put the kettle on and only fill the kettle for as many drinks as you need, this way the kettle boils quicker and it uses less electricity!
78. If you only have a few items to wash either wait until you have a full load or wash them by hand instead.
79. Reduce the amount you use the tumble dryer by putting your clothes on a radiator or clothes horse when it is raining outside, or on the washing line when it is sunny.
80. There are some excellent online tips on how to make your own cleaning products and stain removers. Check these out and have a go at making your own before going out and buying expensive brand named products. If after reading how to make the products you feel that this is out side of your capabilities, then when you go to the shops look for cheaper "no frills" type products and give them a try. They will cost much less and you may find that they are as good as the more expensive items which you normally buy.
81. Have a go at being green fingered and try growing your own vegetables, fruit and herbs. You might surprise yourself and find that you have a talent, a talent which will also save you money.
