Coventry Building is launching a new insurance policy that has been specifically designed to cover people who are letting out their homes.

The CoventryLet scheme is unique on the market, in that it offers landlords the option to insure an unlimited number of properties with the same policy.

The scheme also offers flexibility to landlords with the option to purchase contents insurance, building cover or a combined policy. Arranged by Heath Lambert Insurance Services, the policy can also offer extra cover for loss of rent or legal expenses.

According to the building society the new product has been specially designed for those looking to let out their homes, as well as professional landlords with extensive portfolios.

Financial services & insurance manager at Coventry, Peter Holding, said: "We know how important it is for landlords to keep their investment property portfolio insured.

"CoventryLet has been designed to make things as easy as possible for amateur or professional landlords and ensure that they get exactly the cover they need."
