Abbey launches new cashback credit card
Credit card customers can now get cashback on their supermarket shopping.
Abbey has launched a new credit card designed to help consumers cope with the rising cost of living by offering three per cent cashback on supermarket and petrol purchases.Those looking for balance transfer credit cards may also be interested to learn that the new card offers zero per cent on balance transfers for nine months.
The cashback offer is available for the first six months after taking out the card, allowing consumers to offset increases in the cost of essentials such as food and fuel.
Roger Lovering, managing director of Abbey Credit Cards, said: "Families need all the help they can get to cover the cost of their weekly shopping essentials - which is why we developed this cashback card."
Research carried out recently by MoneyExpert.com revealed that in the last six months, around nine per cent of the UK's adult population have missed a credit card repayment as they struggle to make ends meet.
