Vet pet insurance special offer announced
Direct Line Pet Insurance has announced the launch of a special offer on its veterinary pet insurance cover.
Direct Line has announced the launch of a special offer on its veterinary pet insurance, which will enable customers to purchase 12 months' cover for the price of ten.The pet insurance provider quoted recent research by Mintel which found that the average vet bill for a sick or injured cat or dog is currently around £715.
Direct Line's vet pet insurance, which offers up to £6,000 worth of cover for each condition that a domestic animal suffers from, may help give pet owners peace of mind at a time when few people can afford to shell out for expensive veterinary treatment.
Chris Price, head of Direct Line Pet Insurance, said: "Sadly many dogs and cats have to be put down every year because owners are cutting back on insurance and then cannot afford to cover the costly vet bills associated with an accident or illness."
Direct Line Insurance was founded in 1985.
