Money saving tips to help save on holidays
With the credit crunch biting into families' funds, a travel expert has highlighted simple money saving tips that can help their holiday budgets stretch further.
An author has published a book full of money saving tips to help beat the credit crunch, including ideas which could help make holiday budgets stretch further.Richard Browning, a travel writer, has written a book called How to survive the Credit Crunch: 101 top tips to beat the crisis. He told the Daily Mail that tourists can save themselves money by choosing to stay in apartments rather than hotels and cooking their own meals.
Other money saving tips for travellers include walking around destination cities, as opposd to the more expensive option of hiring a car.
Mr Browning added: "The credit crunch doesn't mean there aren't simple ways to have a decent holiday or short break without breaking the bank."
The Daily Mail recently published a list of money saving tips for people planning on flying with low-cost airlines after it calculated that families using Ryanair this summer could face as much as £320 in extra charges.
