Customers used to using credit cards abroad may happy to know that Tesco has extended the zero per cent purchases period on its Clubcard Credit Card.
Tesco has announced that it will be extending the zero per cent interest on purchases period offered on its Clubcard Credit Card, an announcement that may prove helpful to people using credit cards abroad.New customers who apply for the balance transfer credit card online will now benefit from 12 months of zero per cent interest on new purchases, rather than the six months offered previously.
Tesco said: "The offer applies to new customers who apply and take out the Clubcard Credit Card and starts on the account opening date."
The Tesco Clubcard Credit Card offers a typical annual percentage rate of 16.9 per cent. It also offers zero per cent on balance transfers for six months.
Recently, Abbey announced that it would be relaunching its Zero Credit Card, a move that was welcomed by analysts at moneysupermarket.com as being "good news for tourists".
Abbey does not charge transaction fees for people using the credit card abroad.
