Tesco offers cheap pet insurance

Tesco is offering £52-worth of Purina money-off vouchers when pet health insurance is purchased.
Supermarket giant Tesco is to give dog and cat owners a helping hand during the recession by offering cheap pet insurance to those who purchase online as well as some free food for the animals.Customers using the internet to buy the firm's pet health insurance policy will receive a 20 per cent discount off the price normally paid for signing up over the telephone or in-store.
Any additional pets will also have five per cent knocked off the cost of their cover.
On top of this cheap pet insurance deal, Tesco is giving away £52 worth of money-off vouchers for new customers to spend on Purina food for their beloved animals six weeks after signing a contract.
The booklets contain 52 £1 discount vouchers which can be claimed when spending over £5 on any Purina product.
However, this offer is only open until October 14th, so pet lovers will have to hurry.
Tesco offers cheap pet insurance for as low as £5 and £8.50 a month for cats and dogs respectively and customers have a choice of its Standard or Extra packages, depending on how much cover they need.
Pet owners looking to reduce their outgoings during the recession have been given a helping hand by Sainsbury's, which has announced a discount on its pet health insurance service.
Those looking to make savings on veterinary bills, costs of which have risen "sharply" in recent years according to Sainsbury's, can enjoy 20 per cent off any pet heralth insurance policies taken out with the company.
