  • AA car insurance finds vehicle theft begins at home - 1st May, 2009

    The AA has conducted research which shows that criminals are able to steal thousands of cars in the UK every year because they take the keys, either from the house or from car owners in person.
    Home secretary Jacqui Smith suggested that more than 15,700 cars disappeared last year after the keys were stolen during a burglary and a further 2,900 motorists were mugged, pickpocketed or carjacked for their vehicle keys...
