PRIVILEGE EXPANDS INSURANCE OFFERING

Article date: 23/09/2005 : 16:36:34

Car insurer Privilege is offering an insurance policy that provides customers with a free hire upgrade when their vehicle is off the road.

Customers who sign up to Privilege's Guaranteed Car Hire scheme when they take out a policy will now be provided with a family sized 'Class D' car at no extra cost.

All Privilege insurance customers currently receive a courtesy car during repair, but under the Guaranteed Hire Car option this service is extended to theft or write-off. Under the terms of the scheme Privilege will deliver and collect the car.

Commenting on the improved service, Ian Parker, managing director of Privilege Insurance, said: "For some customers, a small courtesy car is all that is required. But for most, whether they need the space for the school run, suitcases or a set of golf clubs, the extra room in a family-sized replacement could make their own car being off the road a little less inconvenient.

"We've added this option so customers can decide what best suits their needs."
