A new guide has been launched to help people who wish to choose ethical investments.
The free guide will support the efforts of the majority of investors who are interested in putting their money into ethical products, but are unsure how to find them.
Mona Patel, head of communications at Investment Management Association (IMA) which created the factsheet said: "The majority of investors seek long-term sustainable returns and this fact sheet explains how it’s possible to achieve this while also investing according to your ethical principles."
In 2004 there was an 18 per cent increase in the level of investment in ethical funds, pushing the total to more then £10 billion and this figure is set to grow.
A recent Friends Provident survey found three quarters of Britons aged under 45 claimed they wanted their savings and pension money invested ethically.
